Project Overview

A backyard access update in Helena's Riverwoods neighborhood replaced old staircases with newly constructed pressure-treated wood stairs. The project connected the existing dark-painted elevated deck safely to the concrete patio below. Thick southern yellow pine treads were installed over robust vertical stringers to provide long-term structural support. Handrails with matching square wooden balusters were secured on both sides of the run to ensure secure passage. This addition showcases how updates to custom decks can restore safe, functional transitions to steep backyard slopes.
